DOI-BLM-CA-D070-2015-0053DNAEnergy and MineralsOrmesa LLC submitted a geothermal sundry notice (GSN-670-15-24) for the purpose of repairing surface casing leak at injection well 76-1 and a subsequent geothermal sundry notice (GSN-670-15-25) for similar work at injection well 31-32. The leaks were detected on December 22, 2014 and December 9, 2014 below the well cellars at injection wells 76-1 and 31-32, respectively. In order to fix these leaks, there will be excavation around the injection wells up to 20ft deep. The excavation for each well will be set at the “shoring box safety” approved by Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). Once the leak for each well is located, the 20” conductor and the 13 3/8” casing will be cut at 5ft below the leak. A new pipe will then be welded to replace the removed section of pipe. The proposed project for injection well 76-1 is located within the Ormesa LLC Geothermal Lease CA-6218 while the proposed project for injection well 31-32 is located within the Ormesa LLC Geothermal Lease CA-6217. DOI-BLM-CA-D070-2015-0052CXLands and RealtyBroken Foot Productions, Inc. in association with Warner Bros. Pictures is planning to film scenes for an upcoming feature film entitled “Arms & The Dudes” in areas of Imperial County, CA. Scheduled filming of these scenes will be from Thursday, April 16th through Wednesday, April 22nd, 2015. Preparation and construction of the sets will begin on March 23rd and continue until filming. Once the filming is complete, restoration of the areas is scheduled from April 23rd to May 1st. The proposed action is to construct three temporary small buildings that constitute a remote gas station set (design pages 13-15). In the scene, our main characters pull up in a large truck to make a stop. While there, 4 trucks (“insurgents”) begin descending upon them from the hills, driving across the dusty terrain. They would begin driving north from the dunes on the southeast side of Huff Rd. and continue across Huff Rd. toward our set. Just before they reach the gas station a helicopter and approximately 4 Humvees approach to “take out” the insurgents. This helicopter will be a Huey; in addition we plan on using one to two smaller helicopter units to shoot aerial photography. All pilots will adhere to FAA regulations. The estimated length of the route driven across the off-road terrain is approximately 1,500 feet. Superstition Mountains OHV Open Area, Western Imperial County, CAVictoria Hernandez
