August 20, 1997

In view of your EIS Draft for Rangeland Health Standards I'm very supportive of your Alternative No 1 as it allows for good range management and also allows cattle and livestock grazing. I believe livestock grazing is beneficial to the regrowth of good grass and other livestock habitat.

Is also promotes economic benefits to the community and ranchers. There for I appose Guidelines #14 and 15. Also no 4, as these would have an impact on local communities and economic values on ranchers and businesses.

I believe grazing livestock on BLM lands can be beneficial to all concerned of rangeland users such as wildlife, recreation, good water and also timber.

I believe some one with at least fifteen years experience on range land use should be the party to value rangeland conditions.

Lets keep our rural communities alive that depend on federal lands as part of their economic values.

Sincerely,

Robert Schluter
