A-10 Day Use Area
A-10 Day Use Area is a backwater of the lower Colorado River and boasts swimming, hunting, fishing, bird watching, and picnicking. The backwater is approximately 1 ½ miles in length and you may fish from the shore or launch a small boat. Summer temperatures can be extreme. Please be prepared when you recreate during the summertime.
A-10 Recreation Site is located in La Paz County, AZ and is approximately 5 mile south of Ehrenberg, AZ and approximately 10 miles southeast of Blythe, CA.
Use Interstate 10 to Ehrenberg, AZ. Take Ehrenberg exit to South Frontage Road. Go west on the frontage road approximately 1 mile. Turn left on gravel surfaced Ehrenberg/Cibola Road. Go south approximately 5 miles and look for access on the left (east of the levee road).

This site is subject to seasonal fire restrictions each summer.
Permits, Fees, Limitations
There is no Colorado River access and there are no facilities at this site. No permits or fees are required. A valid Arizona license is required for taking wildlife (including fish) in Arizona. Details are available at the Arizona Game and Fish License Page.
A four-wheel drive or high clearance vehicle is not needed to access the site; however, the roads to and around the site are dirt roads, and may be difficult to navigate after major rain events. The site does not have wheelchair accessible features or facilities.

West Nile Virus has been located in samples taken from various locations along the Colorado River. Take precautions when visiting riparian river areas. There are no trash collection points at this site, please practice “Pack It In/ Pack It Out.”
