BLM Arizona is in the third year of Operation ROAM (Reclaim Our Arizona Monuments), which is part of a strategic plan to combat illegal activities related to the border. Operation ROAM activities are generally on the Ironwood Forest and the Sonoran Desert National Monuments. The activities involve a beefed-up law enforcement presence and repair and mitigation of resource damages.
