*Applications for a wind energy right-of-way grant may be submitted for one of the following three types of wind energy projects:
Type I: A 3-year, site-specific grant for individual meterological towers and instrumentation facilities.
Type II: An area grant for a larger site-testing and monitoring area. It is for 3 years, but can be renewed.
Type III: A development grant, generally for 30 years
**BP Wind Energy has proposed an up to 335-turbine wind farm, which would generate up to 500 MW.
