BLM to Waive Fees for Veterans on Veterans Day

Phoenix, Ariz.On Veteran’s Day, Tuesday, November 11, 2008, the Bureau of Land Management will admit all military veterans and current members of the U.S. Armed Forces, and their families, free of charge to Bureau of Land Management recreation sites in Arizona.

BLM Arizona State Director Elaine Zielinski wishes to thank all veterans and current members of the U.S. Armed Forces for their sacrifice and expresses her appreciation saying “Honoring past and present military service men and women by waiving fees on Veteran’s Day is one small way of saying thanks to all who have served or are currently serving our country.”

Fees will be waived at the following sites:

In 2006, the Bureau of Land Management began commemorating Veteran’s Day with a fee-free day to honor and thank all past and present members of the armed forces who have served our Nation.
