Paria Canyon Permit Area - Maps & Guidebooks

You can print a small .pdf map of the fee areas that shows Coyote Buttes North & South and the Paria Canyon fee areas.

A detailed Hikers Guide to the Paria Canyon can be obtained from the Arizona Strip Interpretive Association or at the Kanab Field Office, Paria Contact Station or the St. George Field Office, in Utah.

There are multiple commercial guidebooks available from private and non-profit sources that provide hiking and backpacking information on the area; including the Hiker’s Guide to the Paria Canyon. As a government agency, the BLM cannot recommend one retail outlet over another.

More detailed maps will provide better navigational capabilities. U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) 7.5' topographic maps which cover Paria Canyon and Buckskin Gulch are available from local map stores, some sporting good stores, and the USGS at www.usgs.gov or USGS, Federal Center, Building 41, Denver, CO 80225.
