Riverview Campground, located 20 miles northeast of Safford within the Gila Box Riparian National Conservation Area, offers 13 camping units with tables, grills, potable water, ramadas and restrooms.  A special area is available for larger groups.  A large ramada covers 6 or more picnic tables, and a volleyball court provides added recreational fun for all.

Elevations:  3,100' - 4,400'

Fees are $5.00 per day per campsite.

On November 28, 1990, Congress created the Gila Box, one of only two Riparian National Conservation Areas (RNCA) in the nation.  Four perennial waterways - the Gila River, Bonita Creek, Eagle Creek, and the San Francisco River - are the lifeblood of this remarkable place.  Not only does the RNCA hold one of the most significant riparian zones in the southwest, it offers tremendous recreational opportunities.
