Abstract:
Digitized vector data of wild horse & burro herd management areas in Arizona.  These data represent locations where wild horses and/or burros are actively managed in designated Herd Management Areas
Digitized from 1:100,000 scale manuscripts prepared by Field Office Range Specialists or digitized on-screen and edited
at 1:100,000 scale or larger by GIS specialists.  Updates were made 10/2008 to reflect changes resulting from new Land Use Plans in the Lake Havasu and Yuma Field Offices.
Purpose:
To serve as base information for use in GIS applications
for a variety of planning and analysis purposes.

Resource_Description: Wild horse & burro Herd Areas were digitized from data compiled on 1:100,000 and 1:24,000 USGS topographical maps by specialists in the BLM Field Offices. The data was combined into a state-wide coverage by the BLM State Office.
