Bureau of Land Management, Arizona State Office, in conjunction with Environmental Management and Planning Solutions, Incorporated (EMPSi). GIS data created by Marcia Rickey, EMPSi, 303-447-7160, in conjunction with Kathy Pedrick, BLM Project Manager, David Batts, EMPSi, Lane Cowger 602-417-9612, BLM Assistant Project Manager, and Jim Kenna, State Director. RDEP data was also created with input and data from the BLM RDEP interdisciplinary team, AZ BLM field office managers and staff, cooperating agencies, environmental groups, utility and industry groups, and the general public. RDEP criteria for Alternative 4: Water Conservation and Protection Zones REDA with Proposed Water Resource Protections. Alternative 4 categorizes REDA into Water Protection Zones 1, 2, or 3. Zone 1 affords the least protection and Zone 3 the highest. RDEP nominated sites are considered Zone 1. Zones were created based upon information in RDEP Draft EIS Table 2-1. RDEP_2012 attribute describes the Water Protection Zones: RDEP_2012=3=Water Protection Zone 3; represents the highest level of water resource protections, applies to basins in overdraft that have long-term sustainability issues at baseline rates of groundwater consumption. RDEP_2012=2=Water Protection Zone 2, represents a moderate level of resource protections and applies to groundwater basins, surface watersheds, and other areas RDEP_2012=1=Water Protection Zone 1, no additional protections besides standard design features.
