Paxson Lake Campground entrance plugged with snow

Cold temperatures and recent snowfall along the Denali and Richardson Highways north of Glennallen are preventing the BLM from opening Brushkana Creek, Tangle Lakes, Paxson Lake, and Sourdough Creek campgrounds in time for Memorial Day weekend. Campground entrances remain plugged with snow. Those planning to travel the Denali Highway are urged to closely monitor the Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Faciliites road condition website http://511.alaska.gov.
