The Ring of Fire planning area includes 1.3 million acres of BLM-administered public land in southeast and southcentral Alaska, Kodiak Island, and the Aleutian Islands.

The Ring of Fire RMP Record of Decision was released in March 2008.

The Ring of Fire Proposed Resource Management Plan (RMP)/Final Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) was released in August 2006.

BLM is currently preparing two amendments to the Ring of Fire Plan:

• Haines Block Supplemental EIS Amendment
• Campbell Tract Plan EA Amendment
