Northeast NPR-A Integrated Activity Plans

Northeast NPR-A planning area mapBLM manages 23 million acres in the National Petroleum Reserve-Alaska (NPR-A).  In 1998, BLM completed an Integrated Activity Plan (IAP) and Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the Northeast NPR-A (4.6 million acres).  BLM completed an amendment to this plan in 2005, and is currently developing a supplement for this same planning area.

In a May 16, 2008, news release, Secretary of the Interior Dirk Kempthorne announced the issuance of the Final Supplemental plan for the Northeast NPR-A.  A decision on the Northeast NPR-A is due this summer.
