There are a number of ways you can remain or become involved throughout the BLM's planning process. Watch for announcements by your local media about public involvement opportunities in your community. Review the Federal Register (available on the web or in public libraries) for notices of actions subject to the National Environmental Policy Act, or NEPA, during the planning process.

Submit comments at every possible opportunity, which include:

• Public comment on the draft alternatives
• Public comment period when the draft is published
• Special hearings if subsistence resources could be significantly impacted or restricted by actions in the RMP
• Ongoing government-to-government consultations

Members of the public are encouraged to submit comments at any time during the planning process. Comments with specific details and supporting information are the most helpful.
