Student Temporary Employment Program

Temporary student employees fall under the Student Temporary Employment Program (STEP) component of the SEEP umbrella. The STEP provides flexible, temporary employment for a student enrolled or accepted for enrollment as a degree- (diploma, certificate, etc.) seeking student with a half-time academic / vocational or technical course load in an accredited high school, technical or vocational school, two or four year college or university, graduate or professional school. Under STEP, a student may work in a professional, administrative, technical, clerical, or trades / labor position with duties unrelated to the student’s academic and career goals. However, a STEP participant may, at a later time, convert to the SCEP and work in his or her academic field.  For more information contact Tonyua Abrom or visit http://web.blm.gov/internal/wo-700/wo730/
