The Edgerton Highway runs easterly from the Richardson Highway south of Glennallen. This road provides access to Wrangell St. Elias National Park and Preserve. The BLM actively manages two 17 (b) easements along this road which provide access to public land across private land.

Tonsina River: This 17 (b) easement provides foot access to the lower Tonsina River. The trail leads approximately 2 miles to the bluffs of the Tonsina River. This is an excellent hiking trail and the user will be rewarded with splendid views at the end of the trail. Please stay on the trail and respect private landowners rights.

Liberty Falls: This 17 (b) easement trail is an excellent, but fairly steep hiking trail. It travels about 1 mile and provides excellent views of the Wrangell Mountains and the Copper River. It is located at about mile 23.5 on the south side of the Edgerton Highway.
