Taking It Outside in the Copper River Basin!

National programs like "Take It Outside" and "Let’s Move Outside," have allowed the BLM Glennallen Field Office and Wrangell Institute for Science and Environment (WISE) to partner to provide youth with incredible outdoor opportunities and experiences!

Youth hikes, overnight camps, kid's ice fishing, and a variety of other activities include basic outdoor skill lessons.  And, they promote a healthy active lifestyle; a love for the outdoors; and a sense of stewardship toward the land and resources.

For a calendar of youth events or to register your child for an outdoor event, contact the Wrangell Institute for Science and Environment at 907-822-3575 or the BLM Glennallen Field Office at 907-822-3217. Transportation is available for youth who need rides on a first come, first served basis.
