Attention Federal Subsistence Hunters:
The Unit 13 Federal Subsistence Moose season ended September 20, 2014. All Unit 13 Federal Subsistence moose hunt reports are due to the BLM Glennallen Field Office by October 5th.
Hunt reports are due to the BLM Glennallen Field Office within 5 days of taking an animal or within 15 days of the close of the season. Hunt reports can be entered online with your unique reporting code at this website: https://ifw7asm-orcldb.fws.gov:8090/apex/f?p=104:599:464483907158531
Hunt reports can also be mailed or hand delivered. The BLM Glennallen Field Office is located at Mile 186.5 of the Glenn Highway. A drop box is available in the front office and is open 24 hours per day for your convenience. Failure to return the hunt report will result in you being ineligible to receive a Unit 13 Federal subsistence caribou permit for the following regulatory year, and may result in a fine. Please understand, even if you did not hunt or use your permit, you are still required to return your hunt report. Unit 13 Federal Subsistence caribou permits are still being issued. The season reopens on October 21, 2014 and continues until March 31, 2015. Qualified rural residents may obtain Federal subistence permits for caribou at the BLM Glennallen Field Office during regular business hours. Applicants need to provide three pieces of identification that show proofof rural residency. Please bring your current State of Alaska Resident Hunting License, your State of Alaska Driver’s License, and a third proof of rural residency that shows your physical address, such as a voters registration card, phone or electric bill. Paxson Lake, up to ordinary high water, including its frozen surface during winter months, is under State jurisdiction and therefore is CLOSED to federal subsistence. Federal subsistence hunters may not take caribou that are standing on the frozen surface of Paxson Lake. See Map>>
