From its office in Fairbanks, the Central Yukon Field Office manages approximately 12.7 million acres of public lands in central Alaska. The office's area of responsibility includes a 2-million-acre corridor of public lands straddling the Dalton Highway from the Yukon River to the north side of the Brooks Range. During the summer the field office staffs two facilities along the Dalton Highway: the Arctic Interagency Visitor Center in Coldfoot and a visitor contact station at Yukon Crossing.
Please note: The Fairbanks District Office has changed its street address to 222 University Avenue, Fairbanks, AK 99709 to help the public and emergency responders locate the building. This is also our new mailing address and it applies to all the field offices and other staff located in the Fairbanks District Office Building. Our physical location in Fairbanks has not changed.
